  7.     "I don't have a system," explains SISTER MARIE LOUISE, 89,
  8. a Washington nun who has won national attention by her
  9. uncannily accurate picks of the winners of National Football
  10. League games. "I read the newspapers. If I get a hunch, I stick
  11. with it. Of course, I do pray and ask the Holy Spirit for help."
  12. That seems to work divinely. On a local TV program that asks
  13. guests for N.F.L. predictions, the Visitation nun, who once
  14. played basketball and baseball, has so far bested the secular
  15. guessers. Along with the mother superior, a fellow football fan,
  16. the sister follows the sport on the convent TV. Has she made a
  17. pick for the Super Bowl? Only heaven knows.
